ok so yesterday I drove 5 hours back to school. No problems. I wake up go to start my car and it just cranks and cranks, then I realize the fuel pump is not priming. Bad fuel pump or relays? I have never had this problem and to my knowledge the fuel pump or the relays have ever been changed. btw I have a 1988 GT

i had same problem for a while about a year ago come to find out the ground for my computer had worked its self alittle lose... the one that is right next to the computer.
The ground you fixed was the shield for the TFI wiring and the computer case. The real computer power ground is out by the starter solenoid.

The computer has its own dedicated power ground that comes off the ground pigtail on the battery ground wire. Due to it's proximity to the battery, it may become corroded by acid fumes from the battery. It is a black cylinder about 2 1/2" long by 1" diameter with a black/lt green wire.
