I've come across a Holley Red electric fuel pump that I'm considering for my EFI conversion on my '66. Would this electric fuel pump supply the necessary pressure for the EFI system, or is this for a carb'd engine?

How much PSI is required to run a stock '91-'93 5.0 EFI ?

I would get the Holley blue as it comes with a regulator that you can adjust the fuel pressure. Don't think they are much more.

this one is actually free..

here's some comparison on the three - i would like to start with the Red one first since it's free and I just want to get this car driveable, then upgrade later when I add performance parts. do you think the red pump will work for the time being?

HOLLEY BLACK ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS-------140 GPH @ 12-14 POUNDS PRESSURE

HOLLEY BLUE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS---------110 GPH @ 10-12 POUNDS PRESSURE

HOLLEY RED ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS-----------97 GPH @ 5-7 POUNDS PRESSURE

Well free is good, but I would pick up a regulator if you don't already have one.

actually i don't believe it is adjustable. So I should shoot for the holley blue one w/the regulator? Or should I try this one first?

Does your regulator mount in the same location as the stock EFI fuel regulator?

It comes with mounting brackets. You can mount it whereeve you want, mine's on my firewall. No sense in getting a blue pump if this one is free. You can pick up those regulators for like $15 or so.
