I need some quick help on this one...I bought a brand new short block with $500 pistons, and i just need to know how to remove the fuel rail from the lower intake manifold...i think it just comes off each injector, but I don't know how to remove the metal lines that run to the rear of the car...there are little clips on then but i don't know how to pull them apart...if anyone knows what i am talking about and can help me that would be great
thanks,
Danimal the Cannibal.. :D

You have to get this special tool at an auto parts store that cost like $4 bucks. It's impossible to do it without it. Its kinda hard to explain what it looks like but I got mine at pepboys...

the tool kinda looks like a 1/2 deepwell socket. I have also seen them look like scissors? Anyway, there are two differant sizes that you will need... so it's best to go with the socket style, I bought mine at autozone and the pack came with 4 or 5 diff sizes.

Look in the A/C repair section for the fuel line tools. They look like little plastic top hats. You will need the 1/2" & 5/8" ones. The hat shaped section goes on facing the large part of the coupling. Then you press hard on the brim until it forces the sleeve into the coupling and releases the spring. You may need someone to pull on the line while you press on the coupling. Put some motor oil on them when you put the line back together.
