During the winter I removed the upper intake to paint the valve covers on my 89 5.0 LX. Since then when the car sits for a while it's hard to start. I turn the key and let the fuel pump run, then try to start then engine, the engine will crank until I tap the gas pedal then it starts right up. If I shut it off and start it soon after there is no problem. I checked all the cables and hoses, everything looks fine. Someone mentioned it may be the TPS. Any ideas before I start a wild goose chase would be appreciated.
