Played w/ the timing today and got the distributer where I think it should be. Car wouldn't start. Just spontaneously, I thought to throw some gas in the throttle body (air tube back on) and see what happens...wow! It barked at me (no headers on) for like 1/2 a sec and then quit...so it seems to be a fuel delivery problem right? Fuel pump turns on (it's on a toggle), i've changed fuel pressure from 38-ish to 50-ish psi with basically the same result. The injectors got new caps and o-rings when they were out for the head gasket change. Is there anything I can do to figure this out? It's possible the timing isn't exactly on, but would it "bark," that is, begin to start, but run out of fuel, if the timing was off? Seems to be a fuel problem and I don't know what to do. Thanks in advance for any input.

yep, it has fuel pressure, and I can hear it prime...pump was installed June 03, but the car hasn't been driven at all since then...filter was replaced then too. Thanks though. As a side note, I also have a 90 LX 5.0 mostly stock and the distributer cap 1 is kinda pointing at like 12 o'clock...the GT (the one i'm working on) points at around 11 o'clock...I read that the 1 is supposed to be pointed towards the # spark plug...could this be the problem? If so, I don't understand why it would try to start when I throw the gas in, but not on it's own fuel injected power
