Fuel tank filler gasket

gotta replace this thing. It sucks. I guess after installing my pump i didn't notice that i tore it. Now i gotta drop the whole tank again with half a tank in it. this blows. Can anyone make any sugestions to making it a quick easy fix?

I would suggest driving the car until the tank is nearly empty. Other than that, if you've already dropped it once you know what to expect.

BTW, the same damn thing happened to me!

Yeah i was pissed when i found out i was pissin gas away. Dropped the tank with about 8 galons in it this morning. didnt lose that much gas but i got in changed and all done within an hour.

Hindsight but if anyone comes across this thread just go ahead and get a new one whenever you drop the tank. Good insurance for about 15 bucks.

my car is like that right now.. i only fill it up half way cuz i didnt replace that darn gasket last time i dropped my tank.. sucks..

glad to hear you got her all fingured out
