I am considering going the carbed route for my 89lx. I was wondering if it is possible to use a stock style tank from an early 80's fox body? What about the stock fuel level sending unit? Would it be easier to just sump a newer model tank built for injection? I am sure many out there have done this so some help would really be appreciated?

I can't believe no one out there hasn't gone the carbed route. What did you figure out for a tank. I am sure not everyone went to a fuel cell.

Thanks for the info 5.0 HOtrain. I wonder how well those pickups work versus an actual sump so the fuel is gravity fed to the pump? Pat.

As long as you have a good pump, doesnt really matter how it's fed to it, I bought the insert just for the ease of installations thats all. You could buy the sumped tank that aeromotive uses with their kits I believe. Good luck.
