I think it comes in where the rear brake line goes out of the engine compartment, then it follows the wiring that goes over the shock tower, then down the front side of the shock tower, then under the battery to the charcoal container...I'll try to take a look tonight....
Does the black plastic fuel tank ventline go through the same hole in the firewall/wheel well as the rear brake line?
Appreciate it..... Will look at the old post..I don't recall any other lines coming through the opening where the rear brake line enters the engine compartment, but I'm not 100% sure of that. I'll have to swing back by the car and look closer at that area.
Apparently, I got confused. I thought you meant the return line from the mechanical fuel pump back to the fuel tank. That's what I eyeballed earlier this evening.
But, to answer your last query, it definitely doesn't go inside the wiring loom. I do recall an additional line (hose?) or two that run over the top of the passenger side shock tower. I remember ziptie-ing it (or them) to the loom.

Judging by that pic, it doesn't look like the vent line from the charcoal canister goes up high enough (near the firewall) to go through the rear brake line hole. I'll take a close look at it when I get a chance.... probably won't be tonight though. I plan on swinging by the car after work tomorrow,
Must be a vacuum line there too as my vacuum reservoir is under the passenger side wheel well liner... Not on that part of the car today.....My vent tube comes into the dog house where the brake line goes through but mine is an 89 and has other vac lines coming through there too.
Hey thanks.. No problem, my Home AC went out friday night, so its been too hot to do much...Forgot about this issue.... sorry 'bout that @limp . After remembering and checking it out, that canister vent line does come through the same hole as the rear brake line, just as you thought.
thanks for the idea... My inner fender well cover is off so it would not be too hard to route it that way...I made my own path through the front side of the shock tower so it stays under everything and doesnt have to go up over or around the shock tower in the engine bay. It's a more direct path to the charcoal canister than what you guys are talking about.
