your stock clutch cable mounts to the inner fenderwell just below head level on the drivers side. its held on with an 8mm bolt, and the bracket itself is part of the clutch cable. the quadrant has a steel sleave around the cable, and a brass bracket bent around the sleeve, to mount to the inner wall. because of the slack in the bracket-to-sleeve area, the cable can kink up inside that bracket, making your clutch feel like a 6 puck lol. i removed mine and zip tied it clear of the header, which helped soften it up, but i still need to lube the cable up some more, its still stiff.
