I started by making a pass on the Gtech. With a passanger in the car, I ran a 15.56 @ 93.7mph. I am very happy with the run, and you will be surprised when you see my setup:
A4ld w/stock 3.73 gears
9psi from a .63/.60 T3
3" downpipe to 2.5" exhaust
Lb3 w/ brown tops and big vam
NA head milled for 9.9:1 compression
6* of base timing w/39psi fuel pressure
mild cam (220-220@.050 w/.454 lift)
I need to get a turbo head built up. Thats the head I was running while naturally aspirated.
Then, I went to an autox event. It was great fun, and I feel I ran well. I am waiting for all the results to be posted, but I beat a 96-98 mustang GT with at least lowering springs and exhaust. I also ran about the same times as a WRX that was there.
Suspension: tokito illumian struts, GT mustang sway bars, 99+ springs cut for a 1" drop on my car, poly bushing in the front. The rear suspension is stock minus 99+ springs and shocks. It handles farily well, but oversteers badly on long corners. I beleive some more camber via CC plates would really help since I can only dial in -3/4* right now. Then, there is a random oversteer problem. While making quick transitions between left and right, the rear end will sometimes kick out badly without any throttle input. It really becomes a handful when that happens. I am guessing that a pan hard bar would really help that problem, but I don't exactly have the funds for that until I am out of school.
