Kinda dumb but it was pretty funny!

In case you guys didn't know this weekend was WaterFest (VW show/drags) in Englishtown. Well my paint guy (who painted my car) and his son attended the show. His son has a pretty sweet new GTI. Well me and my buddy Kris where at a Lightning meet in Southern Jersey so on our way home (about 9;30pm) up the Jersey Turnpike and we decided to call them and meet up with them at their hotel.

When we pulled in the hotel parking lot there where tons of sweet VWs and some Audis, and BMWs, even all the streets and other parking lots where full of german cars. As we pull in there were about 1 1/2 - 2 dozen teenage kids hanging out looking at the cars and such. All at once hear the car and turn around and all start walking towards the car and surrounding it, I didn't know whether to eat it up or be scared. There were so many people around the car I had to stop, they were asking questions and walking around it and stuff. All I could think was it seemed like the parking garage scene in Tokyo Drift (especially being after dark in a parking lot lit up by the lights of the hotel and city).

After they all calm down I went and parked next to my paint guys son car and they looked the car over more, and checked out the engine and interior. One kid said, "after a day of VWs and Audis its nice to see a badass mustang."

Well after hanging out for awhile we decided to start heading north for home, so when we left, we had to show all those V dubs how to make some smoke and noise, (American Style) at 6000rpm and sideways.

Anyways, it was pretty cool, felt like I was in a Fast and Furious movie, except everyone was pretty cool overall. The car got more of a reaction from the V dub crowd then from most ford guys, which is usually alot anyways.

i went to waterfest past 2 years (didnt go this year tho) and its been kinda fun

lastyear we talked my friend into doing a burnout at 2AM in the middle of the hotel parking lot. its amusing watching a FWD burnout :rlaugh: then on the way home it rained like crazy and the roads flooded. actually happend both years

one of my friends went down this year with his 20th GTI
