Tonight after I came home from a friends house I went to make my windows go up and nothing. locks work but window buttons on both doors go out. Immediatly I think fuse problem. on my 96 there are 2 big metal fuses and one was really hot and the other was fine. I swithed em because they were the same fuses. then i tried the windows and they started to go up then stopped and the new fuse was really hot like the last one. I finally got them up after a while but want to know what to do.

Sounds like your window motors are putting too much load on your electeical system (Bad motors possably.), or you have 2 bad circuit breakers. Or your battery voltage is low, this will cause the motors to draw more current and "trip" the circuit breakers.

I'd start by pulling your door pannels and greasing the tracks in there and oiling the mechanisms piviot points. Also look for any bad bushings. If there is too much mechanichal resistance, the motors will have to work harder and may trip your CB's.
