Ok I blew a fuse a while ago and didn't know what it was for so I searched for the fuse box diagram and went out and looked to see which one was blown. Well.. No fuses are missing.. According to the diagram, #'s 3 9 12 14 16 22 40 42 44 are not used, and all others are. Well, I am not missing any of the other ones but 9 and 12 I DO have fuses in. What's the deal? Should I take them out of 9 and 12. The diagram doesn't tell me what those numbers do, it just says "not used".

Hm my comp is a peice of crap and It's not letting me open that. I used the diagram from the thread "fuse box diagram" I believe it was called from a couple days ago. Its not letting me upload the pic from that thread. It didn't have a year of car, is 99-04 all the same? That would make sense for the mach460 since I have that. It just seems awkard that I blew a fuse but all the ones from the box are there that should be there?

Thanks

BTW where in IL are u located?

I am too. burbs of chicago. That is the exact one I used, the only difference being yours shows 9 and 12 being used like we already found out. According to that diagram, every fuse in my car is present, none missing. Any Idea why I would have a blown fuse, yet I am not missing any fuses in the my box according to these diagrams?? Doesn't make any sense to me. Should I just not worry about it since I haven't noticed anything wrong or that won't work with the car?

nono, I got in my car, and saw a fuse sitting on the floormat, it was burnt up. Thats why I dont know what # fuse blew, Becuase theres no spot in my box where a fuse should be that is open. Every spot according to those diagrams that should have a fuse, has a fuse. That's what Im sayin lol its weird. I just didn't know if there was a different diagram of the box I was suppose to us or there is a fuse fairy who like to magically place burnt up fuses on my floormat to confuse me...

no Im positive nobody was messing with me. Went out on my break from work to find it. Car was locked the whole time, windows up. Fuses dont blow out of the box sometimes? I know they tend to just burn up inside and stay there but I could have sworn its also common for them to blow out??? Maybe the owner before me just had decided to place a fuse up there or something and it finally just fell? It not like it was like in the corner of my carpeting where It could have been there all along and I just didn't realize it, It was laying dead center of my floormat.

i forgot to mention I don't have a cover on my fuse box...

Not that that would necessarily matter but obviously if the box is enclosed a fuse wont blow out, if theres no cover then couldn't it blow out?

If you had a fuse "pop out" of the fuse box onto the floor then you provably wouldn't have much of a car left. The amount of foce that would be needed to remove the fuse from the slot its pressed into wouldn't come from the fuse blowing and if it did generate that kind of force it would brake the fuse physically and most likely leave 2 halfs of the fuse still lodged into the block with fuse shrapnel all over your floor mats.

wow ok then. I will go back to the fuse fairy explanation..haha. thanks for clearing up my misconception everyone. at least that explains I dont have a blown fuse. How it got there.. I dont know.
