I am not sure what the problem is but it won't hold the adjustment. I have a Fiore micro-click adjuster, stock clutch cable, and UPR clutch quadrant. When I adjusted it, I set it to release around where the brake pedal sits. It stayed there for a while but noiw it is releasingf high again. A new clutch was just put in this weekend along with the FWA. I had the UPR FWA and it worked ok but I wanted to try something else.

I had the same problem, until my cable broke yesterday! The quadrant I put in (BBK) is bigger in diameter than the stock one, so the cable was not going in a straight line from the firewall to the quadrant, and over time it stressed and broke. So now I have to alter the hole in the firewall (drill it higher) so the cable has a straight shot to the quadrant... Ughghgh. All of this I discovered yesterday when I looked through the hole in the firewall and noticed that I couldnt see the top of the quadrant. Of course there wasnt anything in the directions about modifying the firewall... Now I have to wait for the new one to come in from Summit, since its still under warranty.

No, the thing the cable attaches to that rotates when the pedal is pushed applying tension to the cable. I should probably take a picture of the hole through the firewall...

I have the same quadrant as I had before. That never gave me a problem. I believe my problem is the FWA. Foir some reason it isn't holding the cable when I adjust it.

are you sure the adjuster is coming out of adjustment? those are supposed to be pretty good FWA from what ive heard. or could it be that the cable is routed wrong and is stretching? make sure there are no sharp bends or kinks in the clutch cable and make sure it isnt too close to the headers

It isn't coming out of adjustment. The part you would spin is staying there but the cable isn't staying with it. The cable should be routed right because, my uncle, who helped me, works on Mustangs for living.

You say the Fiore FW adjuster is holding it`s adjustment so that part is OK,so it`s probably a cable issue. Are you using the UPR triple hook quad?

one of the members has a site with a lot of info on adjusting aftermarket clutch setups
www.50stangs.com ,look under "tech articles",theres also a picture of a properly routed cable.

Yes, I am using the triple hook quadrant and it is on the middle hook. I had the same setup before the clutch swap minus the FWA. I was using the UPR FWA.

Is your cable properly routed like in the www.50stangs.com picture?

The fwa is designed so that it will not turn when it "clicks" into the detent every 90 degrees of turn. This is the first I have heard of this problem. I don't think a cable would stretch in such a short period of time so I'm not sure what the problem could be. As long as the fwa is not turning, then you can count it out as a problem.

Ok, well I noticed it isn't routed like the picture, but it is close to that. It is actually above the k member but below the motor mount. I will be fooling with it tomorrow and routing it through the hole in the k member below the motor mount. I really hope this is the problem.
