ok, so my g/f just bought a 2004 v6 last night. its white, auto and a convert. 100% stock

I dont think we will end up doing much in the way of performance mods. She wants to get some new rims, stereo tint. stuff like that.

I was thinking about getting her some upgraded brakes and maybe a diablo predator.

what do you guys think? :SNSign:

I have a 2004 GT, i dont know that much about the v6.

are the brakes on her v6 the same as the stock brakes on my gt?

what upgrades can she do to her v6?

what would be the best bang for the buck as far as overall acceleration?

on my car it was gears , but im not sure how her car will react to gears....

educate me please...

i'll try and post some pics tonight.

thanks

Dual exhaust will at least make it sound better; not as good as a GT but still better. Gears would be a quick, inexpensive mod that will make it feel quicker. However, gears will raise the RPM's and lower fuel economy slightly. Basically all the mods that work on a GT work on a V6, just on a smaller scale. The gains won't be as big.

Suggested Performance Mods:

True dual exhaust, GT takeoff or aftermarket
4.10 rear gears along with a OEM T-Lok differential
Drop-in K&N air filter or complete CAI
SCT XCal 2 flash tuner (Diablo does not make a tuner for the '04 V6 model)
True HID headlights (technically not a performance mod, but the stock bulbs are pathetic)

The brakes are the same as on your GT.
After N2O, gears are the best bang for the bucks.

And please lower that 4x4 look
