OK, i hade my mechanic double and triple check all components and install. The springs are perched correctly as per the instructions from H&R. No bind in the control arms ect.. everything is new on the suspension including K Member.

the car is still leaning to the driver side. so, i have two ways to go..

cutting the right side springs to level, or using spacers on the driver side.

this is really getting annoying. what did you all do with yours?

Me, I deal with it. These are old cars, and most of them have been beaten at one point in their lives. Add that to a weak subframe style set up and you are bound to have ride height issues. It's not the suspension, it's the body and frame work it is bolted to.

Assuming no body damage and a difference of say a half inch side to side, I clocked the springs one way or the other from "correct" to fine-tune the height. You have to do both ends as they play-off of one another - and it takes a little time. For example, on one side of the front the end of the spring is bach from the hole and on the other nearly covering it. At the rear, while both sides are "pointing" to the driver's side, one cut end is parallele to the control arm while the other is parallele to the axle. My car is within an 8th inch side to side now and that is likely accounted for by tire pressure and wear; used to be more than a half inch. Might also try getting all new poly isolators to elimenate differeces in those old rubber ones.

If you didn't want to go the spacer route (which I did on my last stang and didn't run into any issues) they make a couple diff. sets of lower control arms that let you control the ride height.

My cobra use to have the lean. It leaned to the right. I changed to H&R super Race springs and polyurethane isolators, and it was still there big time. Now, 2 months later, I just checked, and its mysteriously gone. Can't explain it but I'm happy.

All isolators are new as well. My mechanic and alignment guy are going to see what they can do. The alignment guy sets up all the ferraris in Atlanta, he is right next to the dealership. He also does a lot of amateur road racers that drive at road Atlanta. They have used the mercedes spacers before on different cars and they seem to solve the problem. We'll see.
