Gas Gauge Assistance?

I having problems with my gas guage and was wondering how can I tell the dealership that they "need to replace it.".

Here's the story, short, I spun out and a tree put its mark on my bumper. After the that My gas low light comes on at about 12 gallons. Last time I remember it shouldn't come on til 13 gallons.

So does anybody know where the problem lies? I had them repace the sensor in the tank but it still doesn't sem to work as it should. Anyways thanks for the Help.

I don't see the problem. "I hit a tree, gas guage ain't working right now.. fix it."

Did you look underneath? If you made it to a tree then you had to leave pavement and something might have damaged the fuel tank...

Noper, Tank wasn't damaged the spin-out dented the bumper. So What could be the posible problem here???? Anyways thanks for the help.

the fuel gauge it's self would not be effected by hitting the tree. our gas gages are built into the HEC module ( hybrid electronic cluster) most likely the sending unit float arm got bent.
