So i noticed my gas gauge has been acting up.. i decided to do the diagnostic test of the gauges and all of them went up all the way except for the gas gauge...
it only went up to 3/4 s
What could be wrong ? ..

If you did the diagnostic test, and it only went to 3/4, then the posibilities are limited....which is good.
The gauge cluster is going bad. I have seen it a few times, but it is not common.
Have you put a gauge overlay on? I have seen that the double sided tape that hold those things come loose and cause the overlay to bubble. That keeps gauges from going through their full sweep.
If you put a gauge overlay on, did you remove the needles or did you just silp it on over them?
It should be an easy fix, you can peel it off and put some new 3m (thin) double sided tape...it usually holds pretty well. A lot of times, if the tape has been on the a long time, the original black face is stained.
There is also the option of upgrading the the overlays. I use speedhut in mine. I kept the black faces but went with white letters during the day and blue glow numbers/letters at night.
It wouldnt necessarily be the tape that affected it, the needle couldve been damaged by being touched...with the ignition off unplug the fuel pump under the rear bumper, then turn the ignition on and see if the guage moves all the way up...if so its prob not damaged and is most likely the float on your sending unit
The tape would not effect it directly, but if the tape has become unstuck, the overlay could raise up and cause the needle to stick on the overlay, preventing the needle from making its full sweep.

The needle could be touched all day and not damage it. On the other hand, if, they knocked the needle off while installing the gauge overlay, they may not have placed it back on in the correct orientation. Unplugging the fuel pump wont do anything. In the first post, he said he ran the diagnostic and the needle did not perform a full sweep. The diagnostic takes everything out of question....except the cluster. You can run this test in a car with nothing in it other than the cluster, and it will still perform the diagnostic test. and the gauges should make the full sweep.
Now, reading this goes back to 1 of 2 things. The cluster is dorked up, or, as I said earlier, someone popped off the needle while doing the gauges and did not put it back on correctly. Do this, go fill it up, DRIVE NORMAL, and see how many miles you get before you hit E. I have seen that before, and they were empty after 120 miles.
