gas in my oil???

hey all i have a 95 gt with a gt-40 crate motor with about 40 miles on it and im still not done tuning it but i checked the oil today and it smells and tastes like gas can anyone tell me why?

This is pretty common.

Your tune is probably very rich. I wouldn't be too concerned as you said you still aren't done tuning it.

On a high mileage shortblock this can mean worn rings.

In your case, I'm more worried that you TASTED your motor oil.

i would get it tuned asap, that type of condition can wash the rings out pretty quick.

ill try to finish tuning after the world ford challenge then change the oil and see what happens

Wow, I never thought of that. I'm starting to think that's what happened to mine motor since I knew for a fact it was running VERY rich.
