So I have a 1971 Mach 1 and I have a couple of engine to choose from. I'm wanting an Engine that produce a decent amount of horsepower like 300-400, and want a good amount of gas mileage thats going to be the biggest problem. Im alright with less than 300 just need to mileage above all else Got any suggestion.

Mileage has more to do with how you drive than any other factor. I could get 20 mpg taking it easy with my '70 ragtop with a 351 and 3.00 rear gears, but I usually got 15.
