gas pedal sticking and low idle

my baby, a 1987 ford mustang 5.0 is having 2 problems right now.I changed the throttle body and egr spacer and other things. my car is ideling low now. my car starts goes up to 1100 rpms and drops down until it hits 200 and then dies. a lot of people told me to check the AIC valve but it started ideling like that after I took off the nitrous. I had nitrous on the car and it ran into my intake tube and connected to a vacuum so I had to plug the vacuum that is located in front of your upper intake? the second problem is my gas pedal sticking. my gas pedal started sticking after I put the throttle body on the car. I changed my old throttle cable and it is still sticking. someone told me to clean my butterfly valve in your throttle body but I just changed my throttle body and put a new bbk 70 mm. PLEAse HELP!

Those are the two main causes of a sticking gas pedal: throttle cable and sticky butterfly. Clean the butterfly just in case (I know it's new). Make sure you didn't get your throttle cable kinked anywhere (I just smashed mine between my upper and lower intakes and had to replace mine).

Are you sure you have all of your vacuum hoses hooked up? I would suggest checking out the sticky on the 5.0 tech main page that has the listing of the helpful threads. Find the Surging Idle Checklist by Jrichker and go through it. It's very thorough and should help you find your problem. However, if you've recently done in any work (removing your nitrous), go back and double check all of that stuff first - at least that's what I would do.

Good Luck.

I had a similar problem with my tb, even after cleaning it still stuck open. Turns out the idle screw was set to low causing the butterfly to stick against the aluminum housing (had groove in housing due to use). I just turned the screw until the butterfly was just bearly open and then adjust my tps accordingly.

my proffesional products tb was sticking when i first installed it, it was sticking at the ball where the gas cord conects to, u mite wanna check that out, i kust sanded mine down a little and it works fine

For the idle issues, check the sticky on a surging idle. It will help you fix the issues, just follow them in order. Plug the codes, just because there isn't a CEL there still could be codes causes some issues, get those and see as well.

I have Professional Products TB as well, needed to adjust the TPS and it works fine. Just have this really obnoxious whistle from it, other than that it's fine.
