gas smell from heater vents ... ?

i smell gas under the hood when i turn the key before cranking the engine. i can also smell it when i turn on the heater. and my fuel pressure regulator is a little "wet" with gas when i touch it. i am certain that it is bad, and i am replacing it next week, but i was wondering if that would also explain the smell coming from the vents when i turn on the heater?

Yes the heater uses a fan to bring in the out side air. When you use your a/c on normal is uses the out side air to cool off but when you use you a/c on high it recirculates the air in the cabin only.

I would say it is your fuel pressure regulator. I know a couple people with that problem.
