Gas Tank Problems

I saw a reference to gas tank problems on the '05. What is the problem & do Ineed to be concerned about my GT Convertible which should be delivered by end of June, or have they fixed the problem at the factory ?

any car built from the day that the TSB was issued should have the issue fixed. most built within a week or two before it probably will have it fixed as well. if your's is delivered at the end of this month, i would safely assume that the problem will have been fixed as well as Ford can.

however--some people, including myself, are still experiencing intermittent problems with the fixed fuel tank. just hope for the best.

What is the problem

When you go to put gas into the tank, the old design would trip the nozzle off long before the tank was actually full.
