did u have to use a dremel to take the plastic cover off? and what was involved in getting the old gauges out?

They are just overlays, the original gauges are still underneath.
I used silicon adhesive, just some dabs under unexposed parts.

I think he was talking about removing the clear plastic cover. You do need a dremel to take that off and then seal it afterwards with silicon. I have never done gauges but I have installed the UPR aluminum bezel.

I installed my El Glo gauges without a dremel. What did you use the dremel for? My clear cover deal had a bunch of gold colored screws, just removed, avoided fingerprints, all is well.

No mine was glued to the clear plastic almost plastic welded I used a dremem to cut through the spots where is was glued

Those look pretty sweet! Someone already asked this, but I'll ask again - can you get them without the Speedhut logo? Or could you paint over that logo?

You can not order it without their logo off of speedhut.com . However, if you called them and asked, they might be able to do it. Speedhut is customer friendly and responsive ... actually, I wish I would have asked. The Speedhut logo is the only downside for me, too. One of the main reasons I did not get the Autometer lunar cluster was all the the Autometer logos all over it. If anyone has some good ideas for covering it, please share...

There has been a lot of talk of dremmels and cutting. The ONLY reason to use a dremmel would be to change the bezel or to add a bezel overlay ... not to do the gauges. The plastic cover is attached to the bezel itself which simply unscrews (about 8 of them). I'd recommend before removing those screws, remove the four black screws holding the cluster in the dash and then unhook the 2 cables going into the back of the cluster -- then you can take out the whole cluster and work with the gauges up close and personal on the kitchen table. I was going to add a carbon fiber bezel overlay, and then once I saw I needed a dremmel I decided not to do it ... no dremmel.

Eibach can u change those to blue also with the dimmer that came with it?

No. The dimmer switch has a Blue/ Green button but it is the same green no matter what. But this was just as how the website said they would work when I ordered threm so I don't feel cheated or anything.

Thanks fo the compliment. Post pics of your gauges when done.

Suggestions:
1) Use liberally the 2-sided tape that is provided.
2) Make sure that all of the gauges have freedom to turn. My tach was catching on the needle pointer, requiring me to go back into the cluster and pull the tach needle out slightly to give more clearance from the gauge face (used a knife to pry it up a little bit).
3) When you get to the electrical portion, remove the headlight switch bracket to get at the cable assembly connection MUCH more easily. Then with it disconnected, it is VERY easy to make the electrical connection to the famous brown wire.
4) Go slow and take your time.
