Gauge light problem

Alright fellas, whats wrong here. everytime i get in my car and pull the knob to turn on the headlights sometimes the gauge lights dont light up at all and sometimes they work fine. Is there a fuse somewhere that i can replace or am i screwed and have to take the whole thing apart. Oh well, just an escuse to put in white face gauges right

Its probably not your fuse, or they wouldn't work at all. Its probably your reostat (SP?) Mine had the same problem. I messed with the nob by turning it back and forth a bunch of times every time I got in. Now they work all of the time. Must have been rust or something on the contacts. If that doesn't work for you - you may have to buy a new light switch..

I think thats a fairly common problem but i dont know. My '95 did that too along with the clock pod.
