A year or so ago, I tried putting white faced gauges on my cluster. Having never done this before, I thought I could just remember the needle positions, and consequently screwed the needle positions all up when I reinstalled it all.
In the meantime, a service station changed my thermostat. While I asked them to install a 180 degree thermo, my hunch is they installed a 160. It ran at the O in normal with the old thermo, and now runs at the A. I just picked up a 3.8 taurus fan and am going with the dcc control FK-35 to control it.
My question is, knowing the temp. gauge is probably wrong, what should I set the controller at if I'm not sure whether it's 160 or 180? Also, is there any way to fix the needle positions or am I pretty much stuck with having to buy a new gauge cluster?
