i filled my tank today and put the gas gauge back on the full mark.( it was about half way spun around ) thought it was fixed. but evertime i start the car and trun it off it gets more and more off.

gas gauge...turn the car to the on position...gas gauge drops..then starts to climb back up to where it was...start the car and the gauge gose up even more????

volt gauge...same thing..everytime i start the car it gets higher and higher..start the car again and its even higher up?

how can i get these things to be right again? im tired it it saying i have a full tank and the car starting to buck because its running on fumes.

My guess is that you have a bad connection to one of the grounds to the instrument cluster.
See http://www.stangnet.com/tech/cluster87-93.pdf for a diagram of the instument cluster. Use a DVM or MUltimeter to chekc the resistance of the pin labeled ground on the diagram and bare metal under the dash. You should see less than 1.5 ohms.

Note that there are two charts for connector pinouts, one for 87-89 cars and another for 90-93 cars. Be sure to use the correct chart for your model car and the correct connector when making test measurements.
