Looking to buy some Auto Meter Cobalt C-2 Gauges,new or used at a decent price. Any help would be great.

Putting them in a 2 1/16 Pod, what gauges and style (electric or mechnical) should I go with. Mainly for looks right now - Maybe the Transmission temp and Air/Fuel ratio.

A couple of suggestions:

1 - Get yourself an oil pressure gauge. The factory oil pressure needle/sweep gauge is nothing more than an idiot gauge since it is a 6 psi switch. So, if the engine sees less than that amount of oil pressure, the needle would indicate failure (or low pressure), which would mean it is too late to shut the engine down in the event you lost oil pressure.

2 - Include a wideband air-fuel gauge instaed of the "dancing lightshow" narrowband air-fuel gauge. Although more expensive, a true air-fuel gauge such as the Wideband Commander (or similar) would be more


I decided to go with Autometer Phantom electrical 2 1/16th oil pressure and water temp gauges mounted in an Autometer full-length (dual) gauge pod (p/n 12120). I went with electrical gauges instead of mechanical out of personal preference (for ease of routing the wiring to the A-pillar).
