I love the sound of a gear drive, had it on my old 55 Chevy. I want the sound of a gear drive on my 88, but I'm understanding the knock sensor disagrees with me. Anyone have any experience or info on this? Thanks bro's!

The sound is about the only Pro of a Gear Drive.

But then you have the sound(some what) of Charger, but no ass to back it up.

A good double roller chain is superior in almost everyway. Besides the sound.

Not to mention the harmonics that sent to the valve train from a gear drive ar no good.

See, thats what I learned, but wasn't sure if any of the other techno gadgets were adversely affected by a dual idler setup, and the mfr's were just covering their ars by saying it wouldn't work with a knock sensor. My racing days are well over, so I don't need every ounce of power, but that sound is great fun, and it doesn't require a 4 digit cash layout to have under the hood. Prolly keeping the double roller, motor's almost back together, but I thought I'd investigate for giggles anyhow. Thx gentlemen
