guys i want gears, (3.73) and once all boltons are on i want to be dynotuned. my question is when the guys that do the dyno tune tune the car, they will burn me a custom chip, correct? that will correct the the gears, and air fuel everything else. will ford still be capable to work on the car if need be with a custom chip. will their diagnostic still pick up anything if somthing goes bad? do dyno tuners just reflash factory chip, or new chip? will ford work on either? thanks for any info, sorry so confusing.

I had a chip burned to correct my speedo after the gear swap. Ford can still work on the car, but you will want to remove the chip or tell them to (assuming you have no warranty) prior to dropping the car off.

All places are different. Some re-flash the CPU, some deal with certain
brands of performance chips, such as Superchips, Diablo Sport, etc. You
need to find out how the shop goes about doing custom tunes and they
will let you know if you need to purchase a chip or they will reflash.
Custom chips are always nice because if you want to sell the car or return
it to stock you just remove the chip. :p
