gear install shop?

in all honesty, make the drive down to oregon. A guy named Jeff Kaiser will hook you up. He knows what he's doing. Really nice guy and does really good work. Got a nice car too. I believe he charged me 175 for 4.10's installed and a new pinion seal. He also pointed out to me some things that look like they're going to go out, axle bearings and such. Really cool guy. If you're interested in having him do it, he'll maybe post, or if not PM me for his email address. Good luck man

Medic, out of curiosity, why 4.30's? Maybe I'm wrong, but if you're going to drive it, wouldn't you want something a little more streetable?

4.6L engines have a high RPM band and in order to get up that band, u need 4.10's or 4.30's. they recommend on a couple websites that 4.30's are great for cobras to get into their powerband quickly. i have done homework and people use 4.30's for the street without any problems. alot of people recommend them anyways :)

actually the jeff kaiser im talking about doesn't work for any shop. He does the work out of his house and everything. Real nice guy. I dont know if he'd appreciate me putting his email or phone number out on the net like that, but if you're interested please email me

[email protected] or instant message me at BoostedStang302

that's cool

I had Brad's go through the rear in my car (actually fix another installer's mistakes) with 4.30's -- I'd recommend them without question. They said they don't do many gearsets that low, but they took their time, measured everything, and it came out perfect.

It's hard to go wrong w/ Brads.

Regarding the 4.30's I am not aware of anyone in the OT circles going that low, but I have heard of 4.10's working well for NA 96-01 Cobra's. I personally have 3.73's and they are about perfect gearing for Pacific Raceway and my style of driving. After 3a I don't shift until 8.
