Gear question..

Well I'm getting my gears installed soon.. my question - do I need new shims also or can I just use the stock ones? I only have 2000 miles on my car so I think the stock ones should do fine.. if I'm wrong please someone let me know.. thanks a lot. (03 GT Auto from stock to 3.90 gears)

The gear kit should come with some new shims. If not, just order a basic install kit(which is what I would have done to begin with). Not saying you "need" new shims but its a good idea to use new ones with a new gear set.
