gear question

where do you get gears? my syncro or what ever its called for my 3rd gear is screwed up...should i get new gears or a new transmission? i cant afford a transmission at the moment...how much are gears?

Anything transmission related can be found either from your local Ford dealership or through www.ddperformance.com. IMO, they are the Ford manual transmission experts.

How do you know 3rd gear is "screwed up?"

There is a place on ebay if you search for "t-5"

cuz it grinds going into third gear most of the time. and i'm looking at that website, and i know nothing about transmissions. can someone educate me?

Does third gear just grind or does it pop out too?

I'd guess that you need just the standard T5 rebuild kit, which should come with all new blocker rings, synchronizers, shims, etc.

Why don't you call the place that you are ordering from and talk to them and explain your problems? They would point you in the right direction.
