i bought a mustang that's was already modded, but i don't know if it has rear end gears or not. when i drive on the freeway at 55-60 mph the rpm's is around 2000-2500 in 5th does this sound like i have any gears installed?

2000-2500 is a big difference. With my 4.10 gears at about 65 I'm doing 2200 I'd say, so you sound like you definately have something.. if it's as high as 2500 at 60 mph maybe you have 4.30-4.56's

Yeah you need to be a little more specific to get better help. With that range you could be anywhere from stock to 4.30 for sure. Plus you didn't say which year/tranny you have.

I remember someone posting a link to a site that tells what RPMs you should be turning at certain speeds with different gears. The different trannys were all a little different.

Could someone please post the link to that site again?

You can determine the gear ratio by putting the rear up and rotating the rear wheel. Simply determine the ratio between the rotations of the drive shaft and the rotations of the wheel... For more specific info, do a search.
