I just got 3:73's put in and my tuner wants $75 to re-flash my chip for the gears. I think this is total bull**** so I was wondering do I HAVE to have him reflash or can anyone with the proper software do it? I have the SCT 4 bank chip so does that mean the tune is married to the computer that tuned it?

I think anybody with sofware can tune it but they are most likely going to charge. unless you know someone with an open license of sct software that will do it for free.
I mean a speedcal is like $100. If you go to a new tuner so to speak they will most likely charge you.
