Gear Shifter Vibration !

Yeah, it's been going on a few month now mostly in 3rd gear and when I'm giving a good run (O-60 and so forth). I'm told it's a sequencer or something like that. Any advise?

....Driveshaft out of whack
....Tailshaft bushing in the trans is worn out
....Rotted control arm bushings forcing the pinion into an akward angle
....Bent, or out of ballance wheel/tire

...could be a lot of things.

Control arm new, replaced 5 months ago. Clutch, throw out bearing.
Tail shaft bushing replaced
Tires balanced
3rd gear synchro sound feasible will check
Rotted control arm bushing will check

How about number 1 on my list? I'm going through the same issue right now with mine. The damper on the end is missing. Rotted and fell off. Causing a hell of a vibration down there....most noticable on hard pulls. Even if yours is still on there...take a look to see that it hasn't spun on the shaft.

I will thanks man, I think its time to get a aluminum drive shaft and all joining components anyways

Your the 2nd person suggested that, I will look at getting that and seeing if it does the job... Thanks

I suggest getting an aluminum D/S. I recently installed one from a 95 aerostar,swapped the yoke and flange and good to go. Car used to vibrate above 50 MPH now at 90 its super smoothe.
