I have new FRPP 3.73 Gears in the box ready to go in ad i am trying to figure out which parts should be replaced or rebuilt while im having the gears done. So far i have the Gearset and an 8.8 Trak-Lok Rebuild kit. I have heard it would be wise to replace certain bearings at the same time. Does anybody know which bearings should be up for replacement, and If there is anything else to be considered?

Thanks guys...

Kris

You can get everything you need a local auto parts stores. Napa for some, autozone for others.

But the kit will probably be your best bet. Just look at what the kit contains and pick the right one.

Check summit or fordracing.

Look at 50resto.com. They have all the bearings. I think the ones you might want to do while you are in there anyway are the carrier bearings, pinion bearing, and wheel bearings. Also, think about picking up a new carrier cross pin and bolt. Oh and some fresh rear end housing cover bolts.

What the hell, those are all real cheap, and you might as well be prepared to swap em out while you already smell like friction modifier (or you pay your mechanic to smell of it).
