Gear swap..

250-300 is probably a decent price. I would try to do a little research and see who is good at installing them in your area. Gears are very easy to mess up if they are not installed properly.. Trust me on this not all techs are equal..

Agreed..... do not skimp on labor!
Go to a shop with known results with the new Mustang.
Trust me.... I have a set of very whiny gears! I do not believe brand has as much to do with whine as install.

I'm in the same boat... need to find a shop to do my gears :(
Any one know of any in California? More precisely, the north bay area? 707?

There's "The Rear End Shop" in Santa Rosa, they did the gears in my truck, the install was perfect, no whining, perfect backlash, but the damn diff. leaks! They refused to use the gasket that came with the gear install kit (they said those leak) and instead used a silicone-tube-type-sealer.... which leaks! They refused to fix it too, so I'm kinda on the fence about them.

That's the only diff. shop I know of in the area! Help? :)
TIA
:nice:
