Need to know REAR gearing...
Got my 460 and plan on N/A power.
It's getting backed by a C4 (not c6) <2.46, 1.46, 1.00>
Going with 28" Slicks at all times.
Plan on revving not much higher than 5k.
Going for Dove heads, big cam, Torker II intake.
So with a gutted HCI 460+C4 what gear should I use???
I was thinking 3.55 and MAX of 3.73

Between my own big blocks and people I have done them for (about 11 BB foxes), I can tell you first hand that unless you are making 500+ The big block is almost a waste, to me anyways. Compare a 400hp small block fox with a 400hp big block fox, same car and everything and the small block will make that big block look like a dog. He better have the D0VE heads worked, have someone that knows what there doing handle the cam and induction setup or its gonna end up an 800lb boat anchor over the front wheels. Hes gonna need to also do some suspension work to transfer that weight backwards. NOONE loves the big blocks more than me, but if its done hastily, they look foolish and further the trash talk from the chevy crowd. To each his own.

Either guess or take advice from someone who has made the mistakes. Or better yet go ask 5spdGT he can tell you what you need even though hes never built one
