Gearing

Usually you see power adder guys go for the 327's or 355's. Not saying 373's won't be found on high hp cars but the 373's are too steep at the strip with most of the smaller diameter tire sizes.

Well it all depends on how much boost you want to run. If you plan on running 25+ psi, you might want to think about 2.73's. :rlaugh:

Your trap speed will be the main factor. You don't want to run out of 4th gear at the track and need to use 5th gear.

Then your transmission needs to be accounted for. If you change the gear ratios of your transmission, the proper rear end gear will need to change with it.

And yes, tire size will matter as well.

How far you want to rev your motor too.

So get your plan for the car lined out, and then post back.

461 rwhp with 3:73's and a T5 on the street was great with a blower.

With turbo I may lower it to 3.55's since the boost will come on a lot sooner than a blower.

But like mentioned. you really need to have a plan when choosing gears.
How much hp
street or strip
rpm range
tire height
