I'm switching to 4.10s from the stock 3.23s on my 07 gtcs..with it I'm adding a SCT X3 PowerFlash tuner to correct for the speedo and to get a general tune...does anyone have any experience or info on what the upgrade to 4.10s does to the quarter mile time? thanks for any advice you can give...

You may want to repost this in the 2005+ area of the forum. This is the 4.6 tech, but it is basically the 96-04 zone...:nice:

For what it's worth though, assuming you can keep traction with the gear swap expect .2-.3 1/10ths improvment on your ET's.

well my 01 GT went from 13.1 to a 12.7 from adding 3.90 gears if that helps give you any idea. But I run full MT slicks also.
The biggest difference I see from bigger gears is when I launch at the starting line my car dosen't bog like it did with the stock 3.27 gears.

I was running 13.7@101 w/ a 1.90 60ft before my gears. I put in an Auburn Posi, 31 spline axles and 4.10's. Now, I can't get it too hook to save my life, even with drag radials. My problem is that I have the suspension set up more for the street than the track. Now I have something to spend money on...a new suspension set up :D Also, Orlando Speedworld sucks major A$$. I'm going to try going to Bradenton to see if I can do any better there.

I went from a 13.93 @ 102 mph at sea-level with the stock 2.73s to a non-corrected 13.88 @ 101.9 with the 4.10s @ 3300ft DA.

I haven't corrected that E/T in a while, but I believe it translates to roughly 13.5-13.6 at sea level. I'd say 3 tenths, give or take, with my combo (see sig.)
