GEARS IN AUTOMATIC EQUIPPED STANG

Hey guys i need some opinions on gears for my car. heres the setup. this car is not a daily driver .So fuel mileage is not an issue. And i would like to run mickey thompson et streets. not sure what size , but i have ponys i will be running for now. So give me some tire size suggestions with ur gear choice. Its basically a toss up between 4.30 or 4.10. stock bottom end with gt 40s, b 303 cam with 1.7rr. eddy gear drive, eddy upper and lower, longtubes, automatic with lentech valve body and 3000 stall non lock up converter. lets hear em and i forgot there will also be nitrous running through this setup prolly a 100 shot.

I have a set of 4.10s in my AOD vert. They're alot of fun on the street and I like them but I need to go with a bigger tire cause the car is running out of gear. Currently have a set of ponies with MT ET Street drag radial , 255/50/16 which is pretty much a 26" tall tire. My window switch is set at 3000rpm on and 5800rpm off. Right now the nitrous shuts off right at the 1/4 mile mark. Take it for what it is worth. I don't want to swap gear so I figure I will run a 28" tall tire at the track and grab another 2 rims and run some regular 245/50/16 street tires when I am driving around town.

I have 4.10's and soon to be another AOD. They are great for stock cam/ mild combos. Like RYC CUKR said when you get more power you just run out of gear. Exceptions would be if your also able to rev higher.
For your engine combo I think you would love them. Don't get anything higher (numerically)...PB

What no one else that has posted has that you do, is a nonlockup tranny. It's not your DD, so is it a strip car? I would think 4.30's would be waaay too much at the track, and 4.10's are gonna be up there, depending on what size tires you were running.

I got a 3200 stall lock up AOD with 4.10's and could not be happier, If you got Nitrous you definately will need the 28" tire and stick with 4.10. With the MT's and 4.10 NA it is perfect but when you add the Nitrous that is when you need the 28" tire.
