Gears Question

So I'm in the process of getting a 2004 Mustang and I want 3.73 gears and my sales guy got me to talk to the parts guy and he told me that they could just get regular (non-Ford Racing) gears and it would be cheaper for me and there would be no difference in quality. I was kinda surprised by this, what does everyone think about that?! And when installing gears you need to change the computer setting too right? What should the average cost of gear install be?

I've read all the old posts and some people say they are the same and some people say get the FRPP because they are stronger and some people are saying they are the same!! Does anyone actually know!?! I am kinda thinking that the FRPP ones would be better but I mean the parts guys says they are the same...I don't know I guess it won't really matter all much I'm sure I won't be pushing much more than 450 HP when all is said and done with my car and that should be fine I would think, opinions?!
