I did the same thing but did not realize until the diff was drained. It was the only car at the shop so I had to use the 80-90 we had. That was 10k miles ago no problems so far but I will def go back to 75-140 the next time I open the diff... If you are not "forced" like me I would use the 75-140trinity_gt said:BTW, the shop manual states that the rear requires 75W140 but stupidly, before checking, I ended up buying 80W90 gear oil.
