Hi all,

I have an '06 GT auto that I want to upgrade to the 3.73 gears. On the American Muscle product page for these, they recommend that you also have your trac loc rebuilt. Just how neccesary is this?

Also, my car is supercharged, so will it have to be re-tuned after this upgrade?

Finally, while I'm at it, should I also just get the master bearing kit? My car only has about 19k on it.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Your diff does not require a rebuild at 19K. I would recommend an install kit M-4210-B

PM me when you're ready, I don't list them individually I have them as an add on when purchasing gears.

I would consider carbon fiber clutch packs while you are in there. They also make a heavy duty pinion bearing. You are putting a lot more power to the wheels than stock with a super charger.

Changing Gears

I have a 2005 GT with a Saleen Supercharger and changed my rear gear set from 3.31 stock to 3.73...

Best mod for the money... No Problems and runs smooth as silk...

Remember to upgrade your LCA and panhard brace too...

GO FOR IT!!! Dave
