goin with the 4:10's, just lookin to see how much you guys are usually spending for install, the gears themselves and anything else i will need. Anyone who has had them installed, if you could let me know the total cost and how you like them, i would appreciate it.

Good luck finding someone for that price. Lowest I was quoted locally was $550. Ended up driving out of state to a friend of the family whom I paid $200. (He would have done it for free, but I couldn't let him do that).

Wow, I was expecting around 300 for the whole shabang, hmm, if anyone has found them cheaper, let me know where you got them.

I paid about $700 for gears, install, and computer flash. The flash alone cost $400 and it's only needed if you drive an auto. (I think.)

I'm wondering about the flash. I have a Superchip. Will it need to be retuned?

let me help you out here.
gears--139.95 http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=G&Category_Code=46REAR

gear oil and friction modifier---12.00

install--200 average give or take 50

you can get your computer reflashed for 100 through

http://www.modularfordpowerhouse.com/products.php?id=47

i recommend doing the reflash for the speedo and the timing advance.

so all in all you are looking to spend around 450-550 give or take a few dollars

All good info! Another place that sells the FMS gears for $139.95 is at: www.BuyFordRacing.com

They sell the rebuild kits, too, if you want them.

I'm looking to have my computer reflashed as described above, too. Gonna have them do the adaptive tune for my other mods, as well. As for install, I've heard $200-$300. I'm lucky enough to have a friend who's a Ford tech, and willing to do the install for a steak dinner

your $300 install guess is perfect. that's the average cost installation. I don't know where people are getting $500+ for a damn install

make sure you get the speedcal ($90) when you install your gears. that's assuming you have a 5speed because it says short shifter on your mod list..

I paid $150 for my gear install, but I went ahead and got an adaptive tune at the same time. Adaptive tune = $$$
