Whats the real performance difference betweeen putting 3.73 or 4.10 gears ona GT. i heard many mixed reviews on both

As you haave probably heard before... go with 4.10s if you don't plan on a power adder later on.

However, if you plan on going with a blower or nitrous later then go for the 3.73s.

I made the mistake of going for 4.10s which was awesome for my N/A setup. It wasn't so bad with nitrous either because I did not spray until at least 2nd gear. Now I have a blower and I will be switching to 3.73s soon because 1st gear is practically non-existant. Good luck with the decision, I would say go for the 3.73s to leave your options open in the future and have a good all around gear. I never thought I would have a power adder either when I had them installed....

rule of thumb to go by is 3.73 with forced induction & 4.10's for n/a. in all reality there is prolly only tenth or two difference in the 1/4. i personally run 4.10's & i still will when forced induction makes it's way onto mycar. i'll just run a taller slick at the track so i don't run out of gear at the end of the track

I have 4.10's and couldnt be happier. Use the search function to find a whole heap of threads like this. Some people run power adders even with their 4.10's in some of the threads you might find and have no problems whatsoever. so i say 4.10's all the way but the choice is really up to you.

I've got both and personally prefer the 3.73s for a daily driver. 1st gear is nearly non-existent with 4.10s. Either way, the difference is not as great as everyone makes it out to be. And if you don't mind not using FRPP gears (some swear only by FRPP gears, but others, of course, have had no problems with non-FRPP brands), Pro 5.0 make 3.90s...so you can split the difference.

my vote is for 373's. Don't want to loose all your top end speed, and / or low highway rpms.
