Hi Guys. I have an 89 gt vert AOD. I want to change my gears. Either 3:55 or 3:73. I don't think it is something that I want to attemt myself.
Does it matter where I buy them from ? and how much should I expect to pay to have them installed ?

i got mine at the mustangshop.ca
and was about 175$ to get installed
3:73's

You have an automatic. I would not consider 3:55's. At least 3:73 if not 4:10's

Like Stangfreak said, go 4.10. I had mine installed by a ford dealer for around 300$. It s a 3 to 4 hours job when well done.

all depends

all depends on how much highway crusin u are gonna do.. 3:73's if quite a bit 4:10's if not so much.. depends on were you get them installed for a price..

Thanx. I was leaning toward 3:73's because I do drive on the highway every once in a while.
