gears?

i have a set of 3 73 gears sitting in my garage that i would like to put in but not sure if they are for a 8.8 is there any well of telling what they go in? they are ford gears

Measure them.

Rear end size refers to ring diameter.

7.5 has a 7 1/2" ring
8.8 will have one slightly larger than 8 3/4"
9" is well, 9 inches.
