I bought my 94 mustang with 11,000mi 2.5 years ago, the only general maintenace I have done are oil changes, coolant change, K&N air filter. I now have 34,000mi on it and was wondering if there is anything else I should do for general maintenace? Spark plugs, wires, or anything else? Everything is stock and original at this point. Thanks. -j

New spark plugs, wires, a distributor cap, and rotor are always a good idea, especially if they are 10 years old. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Often times, people will just replace random parts just because they assume they are "old." Don't.

Yeah except the tranny.... check that out. I bought an 85 S-10 4x4 Blazer for a winter vehicle. 65,000 original miles (was stored for a long time, but then driven about 4,000 of those right before I bought it.) It made it 1 month and 2 gear went bye, bye. Not sure what I could have done to help it, but I should have dropped the tranny pan and didn't. :bang:

thanks guys. new spark plugs, wires, a distributor cap, and rotor will be at the top of my list. are these things that someone with VERY little auto experience can do? how about the transmission, brake and power steering fluid change? i guess i should have ford do that.
